SlurryCarb™ Process Named in The Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Awards

ATLANTA, GEORGIA (September 25, 2007) – EnerTech Environmental’s SlurryCarb™ process was named runner up in the Environmental category in this year’s Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Awards. Entries for over 800 innovations were submitted to the competition by individuals, companies, and organizations from around the world, with only 4% of entries receiving an award.

Innovations were chosen for breaking with conventional processes and going beyond marginal improvements with existing products or services. According to The Wall Street Journal, nearly one quarter of this year’s winners were in the environmental category—more than any previous year— highlighting the current focus by companies and nonprofits on a cleaner environment and a greener future.

“This is an exciting time for us,” said Kevin Bolin, EnerTech President and CEO. “Receiving an award such as this serves to emphasize the importance of developing environmentally friendly solutions to old challenges such as biosolids management. Green technologies and renewable energy innovations such as the SlurryCarb™ process are the key to a sustainable future. ”

Winners of the award received coverage in The Wall Street Journal’s three global editions, as well as on wsj.com and the Dow Jones Newswires on September 24th. EnerTech has also been invited to attend an awards ceremony later this month in Redwood City, California.

This is the second such award for EnerTech in recent weeks. Last month EnerTech was named to AlwaysOn Network’s GoingGreen Top 100 Private Companies. The award recognized small and emerging companies that are creating new business opportunities in green technology.

About the SlurryCarb™ Process
EnerTech’s patented SlurryCarb™ process cleanly and economically converts biosolids (sewage sludge) and other high moisture wastes into a high-grade, renewable fuel, with significant cost savings over alternative methods. Biosolids and other feedstocks undergo a molecular rearrangement that transforms these high-moisture materials into a renewable fuel suitable for the replacement of fossil fuels. By processing biosolids as a fluid, the technology provides savings in both capital and operating costs.

The resulting fuel, called E-Fuel, is a clean, renewable fuel that is an excellent replacement for fossil fuels. As a renewable fuel, E-Fuel produces essentially zero net greenhouse gas emissions.
