Biosolids Management
Biosolids.
Biosolids management presents an increasing challenge. Under-capacity and aging of the current management infrastructure, rising volumes, and rising disposal costs all add to the pressures facing biosolids management. Environmentally friendly options that beneficially reuse biosolids are needed.

Biosolids management is particularly problematic in highly urbanized areas, where large volumes of sludge are produced and must be shipped long distances to suitable recycling sites.

Current biosolids management techniques include land application, landfilling and incineration. Each of these methods faces increasing environmental concerns that have led to legislation designed to ban or minimize their use. As a result, capacities are diminishing and the cost of these techniques is rising.

EnerTech's SlurryCarb™ process provides an environmentally sound and cost effective solution to biosolids management and simultaneously reduces reliance on fossil fuels by producing a renewable energy source.
