Process Development Unit
EnerTech has built a 1.6 ton per day Process Development Unit (PDU) located in Atlanta, Georgia, to demonstrate the SlurryCarb™ process.
The PDU was designed to procure engineering data from extended operations and produce larger volumes of carbonized product for testing. This fully functional demonstration facility includes all the necessary pumping, heating, depressurizing and dewatering systems necessary to simulate a commercial-scale SlurryCarb™ facility.
EnerTech has used the PDU to refine the SlurryCarb™ process for biosolids and several other feedstocks. Engineering data from the PDU was used in the design of the commercial-scale Rialto Regional Biosolids Processing Facility, located in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
